Craig Reid has hailed the impact of new manager Andy Scott and he says everybody at the club has received a lift.
Speaking to the BBC with Aldershot being unbeaten in three since Scott's arrival Reid had nothing but praise for the way he had settled at the club and got his message over.
'He has instilled a few different ways of playing and training and I think it is showing. Everybody wants to impress a new manager and has probably lifted their game, it's making the difference. He's a very positive person, as is Terry (Bullivant).'
Reid also says that Scott has confidence in the squad to change our fortunes because he's told them they are good players, and even though the table doesn't lie, it is a false position compared to where we could be if we had made more results count for us this season, saying the new attitude in the dressing room is one of who we can catch, rather than looking behind us.
Reid did say that the sacking of Dean Holdsworth did come as a shock to the players, but ultimately he knows Dean would want the team to focus and do their best regardless so all his hard work wasn't wasted.
'It was a massive shock. It's gutting for the likes of me, who has a bit of history with the gaffer. But the lads can't dwell, him, of all people, will want us to do really well and get out of this position. He would be the first one to tell us how good we are.'
